Medical Refresher Courses for Afghans (MRCA) is a French Non Governmental Organization (NGO), entirely health oriented, registered in France since 1985. Non-governmental, nonreligious and independent, MRCA activities are focusing on improving and providing health care services for vulnerable communities in Afghanistan, with a strong team of Afghan nationals. MRCA activities were launched in 1986 for Afghan Refugees in Peshawar (Pakistan), through the management of a hospital dedicated to their communities. MRCA started the implementation of health care and training projects in Afghanistan in 1993. MRCA’s mission is to contribute to the development of a strong Afghan health system through the provision of health trainings at all levels, and to contribute to the reduction of mortality and morbidity amongst Afghans through the provision of curative and preventive health care services.
