Deewa Social Services & Development Organization (DSSDO) is an independent, non-governmental and non-political organization, voluntary social development entity based in Afghanistan. Deewa believes that poor communities have a great deal of potential and willingness to learn and work for their own development. Deewa's primary role in poverty alleviation and community development is to encourage self-help and, in the long term, guide the Community Organizations into becoming mature and self-reliant institutions. We believe in community empowerment and working with bottom up approach for the uplift of extremely vulnerable, marginalized and poorest of the poor in the society. Deewa is working with youth and children with the vision that they are agents of change and hold the key for the prosperous future and sustainably developed nation. For the achievement of this vision Deewa has launched Community Development Program, Professional Program, Environmental Development Program, and Disaster Management Program.
