Agency for Humanitarian and Development Assistance for Afghanistan (AHDAA) was founded on 29th /March/1996. The organization was then registered with representative office of the ministry of foreign affairs in Herat in 16th / August /1996. It was also registered with the UNOCHA office in Islamabad and on 5th /June/2000 registration was concluded with the ministry of planning in Kabul. Finally AHDAA was re-registered with Ministry of Economy (Succeeded Ministry of Planning) on 2nd/Feb/2006 (12/11/1384) for the number 376. AHDAA is a non-profit making charitable and development organization working exclusively for the welfare, development and the realization of good livelihood among the Afghan poor and vulnerable groups. AHDAA is non-government and non-political or related to such organizations. Since establishment, AHDAA has accomplished 49 single/multi-component projects in rural and urban areas in Herat, Badghis and Ghor provinces. A total of 84’525 families and 16’056 individuals have been served utilizing USD 2’193’506 and EURO 504’778. Currently AHDAA is implementing 3 projects in disaster risk reduction and livelihood sectors in Gulran and Karokh districts.
